The radio station gave me the details. I would go down to the station the next morning and compete in an unknown contest with four other people and the winner would get the rugby tickets. The loser would get nothing.
The real question, however, was what the contest was.
The next day, I got to the station and without a word, one of the workers put a pair of goggles on my face and a big rubber smock. They positioned me next to a table. The other four people were there, dressed identically.
Suddenly, one of the workers came out with a giant crate and popped the top. There were dozens and dozens of live fish. Whoever could clean the most fish in five minutes was the winner of the rugby tickets.
Sure thing, the clock started and I dug in without a second thought. After five minutes I had killed and gutted countless amounts of fish. The radio station counted and I was the winner of the rugby tickets. Although it was a smelly job, getting the rugby tickets was worth it.
